Twin pregnancy. Diagnosis, monitoring and management of complications, 28 November 2021
The Hellenic Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (HSUOG) hosted an online workshop on 28 November 2021 titled “Twin pregnancy. Diagnosis, monitoring and management of complications”. Twin and other multiple pregnancies are associated with increased perinatal morbidity and mortality.
Their frequency has also risen significantly, making them a common issue in everyday clinical practice.
Correctly identifying high-risk cases that require specialist care is the responsibility of the general obstetrician–gynaecologist, who is the first clinician these patients see.
The aim of this webinar was to outline the specific features of twin pregnancies, discuss the most common problems and their prognosis, and identify which cases should be referred to specialist centres.
Invited lecture:
Assisted reproduction and multiple pregnancies
