Asia Pacific Fertility Expert Meeting, Sydney, 8/2012

The meeting in Sydney brought together reproductive medicine specialists from Asia and Australia. Topics included the role of AMH, the place of GnRH antagonists in ovarian stimulation for IVF, the role of LH, the problem of poor ovarian response, and contemporary stimulation approaches using long-acting FSH and GnRH antagonists.

The two-day meeting hosted invited reproductive medicine specialists from Australia, Asia, Europe and the United States.

Invited lectures:

Have antagonists found their role in ovarian stimulation for IVF?

What is the future of GnRH antagonists in ovarian stimulation, now that there is universal acceptance that their efficacy is equivalent to that of agonists?

The LH add-back debate

Is there a role for LH supplementation in ovarian stimulation, or do we complicate stimulation protocols and unnecessarily burden women undergoing IVF?
