4th Panhellenic Congress of the Genitourinary Oncology Research Society: Emerging challenges in the treatment of breast cancer and genitourinary cancer, Thessaloniki, 9/2016

The 4th Panhellenic Congress of the Genitourinary Oncology Research Society took place in Thessaloniki, with the theme “Emerging challenges in the treatment of breast cancer and genitourinary cancer”. Among the topics discussed was fertility preservation in women with breast cancer — the most common malignancy in women.

The majority of women with breast cancer will be successfully treated. For these women quality of life is especially important and depends substantially on preserving their fertility, which can be significantly compromised by the treatment they undergo.
