ELONVA launch, Bucharest, 9/2010

Long-acting FSH (ELONVA) is now a reality in the Balkans. Its official launch and start of availability took place in Romania in early September at an MSD event. It is expected in Greece in December 2010.

Invited lecture:

Tips for successful use of GnRH antagonists in combination with long-acting FSH

The major change in ovarian-stimulation practice brought about by long-acting FSH requires the use of GnRH antagonists. Antagonists and long-acting FSH are necessarily co-administered. For many clinicians who have until now used GnRH agonists, the move to ELONVA will also mean a switch from agonist to antagonist suppression of the premature LH surge. The lecture summarised ten years of accumulated experience with GnRH antagonists.
