This scientific meeting was organised by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the University of Schleswig-Holstein, one of the first centres in Germany and Europe to use long-acting FSH for ovarian stimulation in IVF.

Attended by reproductive medicine physicians from Russia, the day combined lectures with a substantial number of real challenging cases involving the use of GnRH antagonists and the long-acting FSH ELONVA.

Optimal Usage of the Antagonist Protocol in IVF

The use of long-acting FSH (ELONVA) is closely linked to the use of GnRH antagonists. The lecture emphasised, in addition to the techniques that optimise antagonist use, their incomparably greater safety compared with the agonist long protocol still widely used.
